Update

Well hello! I know in my last post I had sent out a list of things I wanted to start on...well some of them have been done, some of them started, and some of them are put on hold.

1. Create a Budget
...This has been started thanks to my lovely dog. Last week she inadvertently came across some trouble. Now we have a HUGE vet bill to pay off, so my spending habits are on the down. Budget accomplished! (Just not in the way I was thinking)
2. Cut back on friends that continuously drag me down
...I feel like I had already started doing this, but now I believe that I'm getting better at not worrying about people and what they think. I'm on to bigger and better things!
3. Donate my hair
...This one is on hold. It's friggen winter, what was I thinking wanting to cut off all my hair before the coldest time of the year. I will continue this one in the spring haha
4. Find a reason to make everyone of my students smile...on a daily basis
...I'm trying on this one. I've accomplished a few smile, but every student has a different back ground and going thorough different things so this one will continue to be a work in progress.
5. ...and the dreaded lose 20 lbs
...I'm starting this one as well. I realize it's not a good time of year to do it, but I'm going to try. I've started trying to eat healthier and I'm trying to motivate myself to get up and walk before work while it's not too cold. This has yet to happen because I just love my bed in the morning...but I'll keep working on it.

Other then that there is not much of an update from me. I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving and Black Friday! <3

Endless Opportunities

As I'm sitting here in my nice cozy bed listening to the wind
blow, I've decided I'm going to start making some changes. Now I have been wanting to do some of these things for a while, but now I finally think I'm ready to start. So, here is a list of 5 things I want to work on throughout the rest of this year...and into next.

The List:

1. Create a Budget
2. Cut back on friends that continuously drag me down
3. Donate my hair
4. Find a reason to make everyone of my students smile...on a daily basis
5. ...and the dreaded lose 20 lbs

I think that this is an extremely attainable list for myself, and I'm excited to get started with the process. Hopefully I will be able to give reports every once in a while, to my very few blog readers (if you have any suggestions on how to make some of these work let me know!!)

I also feel as though I should let you know that I no longer have facebook!!!!! This started out as a HUGE mistake (quite embarrassing) but now I think I like it. I no longer have to worry about checking it multiple times a day or what the daily drama is.  The last 2 weeks have been a really nice break from the internet world...and I think I'm going to keep going this way for a while :)

some down time

Being  bored tonight I decided to go ahead and post some thoughts...stolen from somewhere on Grouchy Rabbit or Pinterest

Realized: It's impossible to casually walk across a blow-up mattress.

Realized: In 1000 years, archeologists will find tanning beds and think that we fried people as punishment.

Realized: They say you are what you eat... but I don't recall eating a sexy beast today.

Realized: Everyone screams like a girl... It would just be awkward if somebody screamed in a really low pitched voice.

Fact: You will always have something extremely important to say when your mouth is full.

Fact: The days you don't have time to shower are the days you will run into everyone you know.

Fact: If it's cold enough to wear uggs, it's not hot enough to wear booty shorts.

Fact: Anyone who says there's no such thing as a stupid question, has obviously never worked in customer service.

Definition: Drama (noun) - When Sarah likes Mike but Mike is going out with Jane when Jane actually likes Dylan but Dylan likes Sarah so Dylan asks out Sarah and Jane gets mad and breaks up with Mike so she can go out with Dylan then Sarah asks out Ty instead and Ty likes Hanna and Hanna likes Mike so Hanna asks out Mike and Jane gets jealous so she tries to make up with Mike.

Definition: Single (adjective) - A man who makes jokes about women in the kitchen.

Definition: Awkward (adjective) - When you de-friend somebody on Facebook and they friend request you again.

Quotiessssss.

"Dear God, Thank you for giving me this beautiful life and forgive me if I don't love it enough."

"Home is where I can look and feel ugly and enjoy it."

"Promise yourself...
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all you friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.

To be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet.

To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the
presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud word, but in great deeds.

To live the faith that the whole world is on your side, so long as you are true to the best that is
in you."

Christian D. Larson.

"I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person."

Audrey Hepburn

"The happiest person does not have everything. They make the best of everything they have."

...and with that I leave you for the night <3

...

Another thought! I recently became addicted to Pinterest, check mine out =)

a reallyyyy cold night, blog!

I guess you could say that I will make my goal of at least one update this month! (Lets hope I can make it back here again before the end of September).

As far as a real update goes, there is really not much going on in my life, but here are the more recent things that have happened...

I FINALLY started my new job and I absolutely LOVE it! I know most people will think I am crazy but there is just about those middle schoolers that I like. I really have no idea what it is but I will work to figure that out as the school year goes one.  I have to say that middle schoolers have definitely changed since I was there...a mer 11 years ago (where the hell did the time go?)...They have experienced almost more things in their short life as I have as an 'adult'.  The home situation has changed, meaning more electronics then family connections, and they definitely are not intimidated by authority.  This year will be an on-going battle of wits but even with that I'm excited to see where everything goes.

ALSO, I purchased my first car! Now this was an experience... I had been looking for a car for probably 5 or 6 months before I found this one. After all that time I had narrowed my choice to some kind of Subaru simply for the AWD.  I absolutely thought that that was the type of car I would be driving off a lot somewhere.  Boy was I wrong!  I ended up stopping at a dealership in Burlington, where the charming sales man managed to lure me and my sister into the building.  After about 30 minutes of questions (I thought he was going to start interrogating me!) he disappears and returns with in a car. This was NOT a Subaru like I had planned, but instead a cute little Kia Sportage.  Now in no way did I want an SUV, and this in my case was one. But I did get in the car like a good girl and we took it for a test drive...I guess you know what happens next. I LOVE IT! It was a suprise to me, but the next day we (My dad and I) were back up in Burlington ready to make the purchase.  I've had the car for a little over 3 weeks now, and I can say that I definitely do not regret buying it! ...oh and Ella loves it too =D

Now to leave you with a random message of the day.

5 Positive Thoughts

1. Don't sleep too much. Enjoy being alive & productive. There is plenty of time to be
dead & definitley sleep forever.
2. Sometimes, nobody really cares if you are miserable, so you might as well be happy.
3. If you can't solve it, it's not a problem - it's reality
4. Happiness is like perfume;  you cannot pour it on others without getting a few
drops on yourself
5. If all good things must come to an end, then do not worry.  All bad things
eventually would end too.

After today I am vowing to at least update this thing more then once a month...It is my mid year resolution.

Sunshine, enjoy it and ignore your blog

So I have not been on here in ages...oopsie! It has been absolutely crazy with working 2 jobs, having a puppy, and then trying to enjoy my summer; meaning my blog has been left in the dust.

I do often visit my site just to see if miraculously someone else is updating it, but like I should expect...nope! I guess I will give a brief update to my life at the moment.  I think last time I was on here I mentioned that I was working back at Hannaford..and am currently still there.  BUT..more changes occurred when I accepted a job tutoring two students from the local high school.  This meaning that my whole life is not dedicated to food at the moment, but also to some students education (which is pretty exciting). ANOTHER big thing is that I now have a job for the 2011-2012 school year WOOHOOO. I'm going to be working at Otter Valley High School with 7th and 8th graders.  I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am..and am currently waiting for August to roll around so this can get started.

In other news; I have a wicked sunburn, a serious need to go camping again, and a want to just spend the entire rest of my summer at the beach.  I wish the first would go away, the second was possible, and to win the lottery for the last! ....A girl can dream right?!?!

I guess I really have no new websites to share or anything considering the fact my computer sucks and I'm rarely adventuring into the world wide web anymore :( I do suppose I could leave you with some pictures from the camping trip I took with my sisters this weekend!

 Meghan relaxing!
 Tina...making it rain
 We put Kelsey to work...
 The Head Honcho
 Me and Boone
Now this is a serious camper!
...I think she had one too many
 SMORES!
Theta Alpha Lambda brings us together again
It's the fire master doing her job
 Dinnah
The gang! What an excellent weekend =D

So here's to reality. Here's to opening your eyes and looking at the world in
it's entirety. Life is beautiful for those who see it as it is. Your day is what
you make of it. So here's to waking up every day and putting on the biggest smile.
Because everything in the world is wonderful, why shouldn't we be too?

an Opps...It's Ella :D

A Free Moment, post on your blog!

So I have seriously been neglecting this thing and am super sorry! I guess I could give some updates on my life at the moment....

So I recently finished my job at the high school I have been at since January (the person I was filling in for finally came back!). Unfortunately with this job ending I am back at Hannaford, insert sad face! I'm hoping that sometime in this future I get out of that awful place, but for now it's what I've got =D

ALSO, we got a puppy! She is a cute as a button and a little devil at the same time...I'll attach a picture at the end.

So since I really have nothing to write about I thought I would share some of the quotes I have found recently while stumbling the internet...enjoy <3

The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known
suffering, known struggle, know loss, and have found their way out of the depths.
These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life
that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern.
Beautiful people do not just happen.
-Elizabeth Kubler Ros

I welcome each new day with a hopeful expectancy that I, too, will rise above the ordinary.
For I am not content to live a merely "normal" life or settle for an average
existence. No, I am destined for more-much, much more.

People universally tend to think that happiness is a stroke of luck, something that will maybe descend upon you like fine weather if you are fortunate enough. But that’s not how happiness works. Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it…
– Eat, Pray, Love –

So here’s to reality. Here’s to opening up your eyes and looking at the world in it’s entirety. Life is beautiful for those who see it as it is. Your day is what you make of it. So here’s to waking up every day and putting on the biggest smile. Because everything in the world is wonderful, why shouldn’t we be too?

If you’re feeling frightened about what comes next… Don’t. Embrace the uncertainty. Allow it to lead you places. Be brave as it challenges you to exercise both your heart and your mind as you create your own path towards happiness. Don’t waste time with regret. Spin wildly into your next action. Enjoy the present – each moment as it comes – because you’ll never get another one quite like it. And if you should ever look up and find yourself lost, simply take a breath and start over. Retrace your steps and go back to the purest place in your heart, where your hope lives. You’ll find your way again…

Nice Weather, ignore your blog!

So I know I have not been on here in AGESSS...but I've just been sooooooooooo busy with work, after school commitments and trying to prepare for two 5k runs.... so this has just not been the place for me!

I decided I would stop in and say hello and let you know that I am a quitter and have given up on the 30 day challenge, because it just eventually got so boring and I didn't like looking for pictures to find for it.  I also have just picked up a second job tutoring for 2 hours a day and that probably means less blogging in my future!

Also, the weather has finally started to get nice, so outside I go. I attempted a run today, but some creepy dude was following me so I ended up stopping where my friend Tiffany was and she brought me home :)...thank goodness for that!! And we decided that we will now be running together =D yayyy!!!

I guess that is all the interesting stuff going on in my life right now! I'm hoping to be able to put up something every couple days, just so I don't lose track of this thing (because I suppose I actually like it!)

AND Hi again ANDY in Peru, thanks for listening to me and sending us some sunshine (especially for my april vacation.

AND Kelsey, Cora is currently munching on your glasses, and I'm doing nothing to stop her hahahahhaha (I suppose that is better then pooping on your bed!)
